【摘    要】    The article discusses the introduction to Paul Blackledge's book "Friedrich Engels and Modern Social and Political Theory" which offered an assessment on the political thought of Friedrich Engels proving a refutation of the divergence thesis. Topics covered include his intellectual and political partnership with intellectual Karl Marx, their critique of capitalism, and the claim that Engels distorted Marx's thought, and that Marxism and especially Stalinism emerged out of Marx's ideas.
